Berlin–Moscow
Online poetry album

A warm welcome!

Many people are currently talking about war, rearmament and the threat posed by Russia. So many bridges that once existed between Germany and Russia – bridges in the form of cultural sites and consulates, student exchanges, scholarships and much more – are currently being severed. Yet there are a great many people who do not agree with this. Just like us, these people still want to see exchanges and encounters, discussions and conversations about art and culture, about academic topics, about God and society. With this in mind, we would like to make our voices heard in support of peaceful ties between the two countries. I have created this online poetry album with the help of a few friends so that you too can join us in this endeavour.

I really hope you all enjoy writing something here. I really hope that people from Germany and people living in Russia can connect through this online poetry album. Just jot down a little something, post a poem, a verse, a quote that has stayed with you throughout your life, a photo, a drawing, a photo of a favourite postcard, a motto for the day, or write down a dream or a vision. What matters to me is that it comes from the heart and that, with every greeting from you, with every thought you share, people in different countries grow a little bit closer. Of course, you’re also welcome to invite people from other countries. Anyone who writes with peaceful intentions is very welcome.

Christiane hopes you enjoy reading, watching and writing

And this is how the online poetry album works

In the online poetry album, you can introduce yourselves and leave a greeting in the form of a very personal message. You can then invite friends and easily pass the online album on, just as we used to pass on the poetry album in the past. By the end, there may be messages there from all our friends, and even from those who may one day become our friends.

Here’s how it works:

1. Register and log in: To register, click on ‘Create post’ and select ‘Register’. You can also introduce yourself briefly here (your profile). Once you have registered and received a confirmation email, you can set your own password and use it to log in to the site at any time.

2. Once you’ve logged in, you can click on ‘Create post’ again and you’ll be able to publish your first post. A post can consist of an image, text or both. You can write in German, Russian or English. Visitors will always see the original text first and can then translate it with a single click! The translations are generated automatically by a programme.

3. Your entry will only be visible in the poetry album once we have approved it. We’ll send you an email when it’s ready. We’ll do our best to get it done quickly! Entries cannot be edited once they’ve been posted. However, you can delete your entry at any time by going to ‘Edit profile’!

And of course, you’re welcome to write more than one entry! Above all, you can invite friends and acquaintances to add their entries to the poetry album too!

I hope you all have LOTS OF FUN writing!
Let’s create a wonderful, vibrant album together! Lots of love! Christiane
